At Slater Primary School, we are committed to caring for our environment and promoting sustainability. Our Eco Warriors are passionate students who take action to make our school a greener, cleaner, and more eco-friendly place.
What Do Eco Warriors Do?
Eco Warriors play a vital role in helping the school become more environmentally friendly. Their key responsibilities include:
🌍 Encouraging recycling and reducing waste around the school
🌱 Looking after the school environment
🔋 Promoting energy-saving habits, such as turning off lights and devices when not in use
🚮 Organizing litter-picking activities to keep the school grounds clean
📢 Raising awareness about environmental issues through assemblies and events
♻️ Helping with eco-friendly initiatives like plastic-free campaigns and upcycling projects
How Are Eco Warriors Chosen?
Students from different year groups can apply for the role of Eco Warrior. The selection process involves:
📝 Application – Students express their interest by explaining their passion for protecting the environment.
📋 Selection by Staff – Teachers and the Senior Leadership Team choose students who show enthusiasm, responsibility, and a commitment to making a difference.
🌟 Teamwork & Action – Eco Warriors work together throughout the year to implement eco-friendly initiatives.
