Curriculum & Teaching (Intent)
We believe mathematics is a powerful tool for understanding the world. In our diverse, multicultural community, we aim to make maths accessible, engaging, and relevant. Our vision is to develop confident, resilient mathematicians who enjoy problem solving and reasoning, supported by a language rich environment for our NtE learners.
Personal Development & Wellbeing (Implementation)
We use real-life contexts, hands-on learning, and visual representations to make maths meaningful. Lessons are sequenced to build fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Growth mindset strategies encourage pupils to see mistakes as learning opportunities. Cross-curricular links highlight maths in everyday life.
Achievement (Impact)
Pupils leave with strong foundations in number, reasoning, and problem-solving. They demonstrate confidence, perseverance, and the ability to apply mathematical thinking across subjects and real-world contexts.
