Curriculum & Teaching (Intent)
At Slater Primary School, our RE curriculum is rooted in the Leicester City Agreed Syllabus and aims to foster belonging, identity, and community. We encourage pupils to explore diverse world religions and beliefs, understanding how faith and values shape individuals and societies. Our vision is to inspire reflection on personal beliefs while developing empathy and respect for others.
Personal Development & Wellbeing (Implementation)
We deliver RE through engaging lessons on sacred stories, rituals, and symbols, encouraging discussion and critical thinking. Diverse perspectives are integrated to reflect our multicultural community. Teachers use creative approaches such as drama, art, and storytelling to make learning meaningful and inclusive.
Achievement (Impact)
Pupils develop curiosity, empathy, and informed understanding of world religions. They can articulate their own beliefs while respecting others, demonstrating readiness to contribute to a harmonious and inclusive society.
